Freshman bull rider, Hudson Evans, has what must riders only dream of... a dad who has not only competed at the NFR but actually won it, bulls out his back door to practice whenever he wants, and cases of buckles lining the walls in his room. 
 
But when a riding accident the summer before his high school season during the championship round of the Montana State Finals keeps Hudson from competing at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo, he realizes that overcoming the mental part of bull riding is a whole lot harder than coming back from his physical injuries. Everyone expects him to go pro, but what if he isn't as good as his dad? What if he never wins another buckle?
